Summary
I am a postdoctoral researcher currently working on the UKRI-funded project (UNSaFE) UNderstanding the Scale, Sources, Fate and Effects of PFAS pollution. My research interests cover anthropogenic contaminants in the aquatic environment, with my current work focusing on PFAS and their potential impact on aquatic wildlife through field monitoring, bioaccumulation assessments, and multi-omics approaches.
My interest in the uptake and elimination of contaminants of emerging concern in aquatic wildlife grew during my PhD, where I investigated toxicokinetics of pharmaceuticals in Daphnia magna. With my background in computer science, I am also interested in applying computational techniques, particularly machine learning approaches, to elucidate chemical structure-driven environmental behaviour of contaminants.
