Research Interests

My research focuses on the antecedents and consequences of career mobility. I am particularly interested in career patterns, career scripts, and the relationship between career mobility and career outcomes of individuals, including wellbeing and income. My work on career mobility is mostly based on the analyses of large-scale panel datasets, but I also engage in qualitative research on careers. I am currently completing a project on career attitudes and aspirations of British and German gig economy workers which was funded by the British Academy. My work was nominated for the Best Paper Prize of the Annual Conference of the Strategic Management Society and won the Best Symposium Award of the Careers Division of the Academy of Management.

My research has appeared in a variety of outlets, including Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Social Science & Medicine, and British Journal of Management. I am co-leader of the Organisation, Leadership and Governance Research Group at Brunel Business School.
