Research Interests
My research interests reside in clinical psychology, clinical neuroscience, cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive neuroscience, emotion processing, implicit emotion regulation, and consciousness. I am particularly interested in cognitive behavioural therapy and how implicit emotion processes are implicated in the onset and maintenance of psychiatric disorders.
My PhD which investigated the behavioural and neuroimaging aspects of implicit emotion regulation and cognitive behavioural therapy where I conducted meta-analyses, designed experiments that tested novel models of CBT therapy, and conducted complex statistical analyses. I have won several academic awards and these translational findings have been published in high-impact journals including Nature’s Scientific Reports and the Journal of Affective Disorders.
