Institutional Impacts on Entrepreneurship and SMEs

Cluster Leader: Dr Grahame Fallon

The cluster is designed to act as catalyst for the development of an interdisciplinary research initiative focusing on the opportunities, challenges and issues created by institutions, regulations, support systems and networks for entrepreneurship and SME creation and development. The membership of the cluster brings together a range of research expertise, covering the entrepreneurship, strategy, political economy, institutional theory, finance and accounting and creative industries fields.

The purpose of the cluster is to stimulate sustainable research collaboration between groups of CBASS scholars, beginning with the identification and narrowing down of innovative research questions, followed by the design and implementation of related research programmes straddling some or all of these areas. These programmes may involve the utilisation of existing, or the creation of new research partnerships with scholars based at other UK, mainland European and Asian universities.
