Summary

I joined the Brunel Business School in 2014 as a Lecturer in Strategy and Entrepreneurship. I previously worked as a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management and International Business at the Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University. I gained my PhD in Management from Royal Holloway University of London, and MBA in International Business from University of Birmingham.

My research and teaching interests are in the areas of strategy, international business, and entrepreneurship. Before moving to academia, I worked in industry in China in the areas of international trade, business support for high-tech China-foreign joint ventures, and consultancy. I achieved several research funding awards including the competitive Overseas Research Scheme by the HEFCE.

I'm currently the principal investigator of a research project funded by the Brunel Research Initiative and Enterprise Fund examining the internationalisation strategies of social enterprises. I'm Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a member of Academy of International Business, and British Academy of Management.
