The Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are for candidates from least developed, low, and lower middle income Commonwealth countries, for full time Master's study on selected courses.

- Monthly stipend of £1,781 per scholar
- Warm clothing allowance of £563 per scholar.

Application process: The application process is managed by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for the UK. Further information and details of how to make an application can be found on the CSC website.
Deadline: Tuesday 9 December 2025 at 16:00 GMT
Brunel University of London will assess all eligible applications and shortlisted candidates can expect to be interviewed.
Once the nominees and reserve candidates have been selected by Brunel the list will be passed to CSC for them to carry out their internal verification process.
We aim to inform all successful candidates by July 2026.
Due to the expected volume of applications Brunel will not be contacting unsuccessful candidates or providing feedback, however, we will post an update on this page in late June 2026.
Applications are considered according to the following selection criteria:
- Academic merit of the candidate
- Quality of the research proposal
- Potential impact of the work on the development of the candidate's home country.
