Brunel Careers Ambassador Scheme

The Brunel Careers Ambassador (BCA) Scheme provides students with the opportunity to represent the Student Professional Development (SPD) team across Brunel, engaging with fellow students, staff and recent graduates through a variety of events, activities and promotional initiatives.

The scheme aims to raise awareness of SPD and the wide range of careers, employability and professional development opportunities and support available to Brunel students and recent graduates. As an Ambassador, you will share your own experiences and knowledge of SPD with fellow students, helping to encourage more students to engage with SPD, attend events and make use of the support and opportunities available to them.

Why Become an SPD Brunel Careers Ambassador?

This is more than an opportunity to promote SPD. It is an opportunity to:

  • Earn as you learn. Have the flexibility to earn money when it works for you and your student timetable.

  • Build experience. Gain practical experience in events, communications, student engagement, digital content and promotional activity.

  • Develop your skills. Strengthen the transferable skills employers value, including communication, teamwork, confidence, organisation and leadership.

  • Make a difference. Help fellow students discover and access the careers and professional development support available to them.

  • Build your network. Work alongside SPD staff, meet other students and gain experience interacting in a professional environment.

  • Enhance your CV. Develop real examples of your skills and experience that you can use in future job, placement and graduate applications.

  • Make the most of your Brunel experience. Get involved, share your experience and help other students make the most of the opportunities available to them.

The SPD recruit new students to join the scheme at the start of the each academic year and advertise the vacancies via the Job Shop vacancy pages.
