Welcoming Catalonia's Next Generation of Entrepreneurs to Brunel

On Wednesday 17 June, we welcomed entrepreneurs from Catalonia to Brunel University of London as part of the iFest Senior Acceleration Programme, an initiative from the Generalitat de Catalunya supporting young innovators developing solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Led by Impact Hub London, the visit brought three iFest ventures to campus. To put that achievement into perspective, this year’s iFest engaged more than 1,000 students and 247 teams from across Catalonia.

It was a great opportunity to share how the Brunel Entrepreneur Hub supports students and graduates to explore freelancing, develop start-up ideas and build entrepreneurial careers. We believe entrepreneurship should be a tangible and realistic pathway, both during university and beyond.

We were also proud to showcase some of our own entrepreneurial talent. Brunel student entrepreneurs Aman Sah and Jawad Noori presented their early-stage start-up ideas to the visiting delegation, ventures that began during their time as students and have been supported through the Entrepreneur Hub.

It was inspiring to see the similarities in the challenges being tackled and the ideas being developed by students and graduates in both Catalonia and the UK.

A big thank you to the iFest team, Impact Hub London, and everyone who joined us and shared their work.
