Professor David Gilbert
Professor David Gilbert is Head of School for Information Systems, Computing and Mathematics.
Professor Gilbert joined Brunel from Glasgow University, where he was a Professor of Bioinformatics in the Department of Computing Science, and Director of the Bioinformatics Research Centre where he headed the Systems Biology group.
He has a wealth of experience in this field of research and his team at Glasgow scooped the Synthetic Biology iGEM 2007 competition Environment prize and a Gold Medal.
