Professor Mansoor Sarhadi
Professor Mansoor Sarhadi is Vice-Principal of Brunel University.
Professor Sarhadi joined Brunel in 1990 as a Professor of Engineering. He became Head of the Engineering Systems Department in 1994, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research in 1996, and Vice-Principal in 2001. He also had periods as Acting Vice-Chancellor in 2000 and 2005.
Professor Sarhadi's research addresses electronics and manufacturing systems, industrial automation and automated manufacture of aero-structures and aircrafts.
He has been a member of the EPSRC College of Referees, EPS Committee of the BBSRC and the IEE Accreditation Panel. He has also held major consultancy positions for aerospace, power generation and the manufacturing industry.
Currently, he is a member of the EPSRC Technical Opportunities Committee (TOP) and a member of the Programme Management Committee of DEFRA's Link Programme on Advanced Food Manufacturing.
