Car Parking

Access to parking on Brunel's campus and the local area is very restricted. Visitors enter the site at their own risk and are subject to the University's Traffic and Parking and Permit Regulations. "Pay and Display" parking is available on our main site and Sports Park via the Kingston Lane entrance.

Visitor parking

Parking on campus is very limited and visitors are advised wherever possible to consider using alternative transport or, if choosing to drive, park in the local public car parks in Uxbridge Town Centre.

Please note the Cleveland Road entrance is now closed and all vehicles must enter/exit the campus via Kingston Lane. (Users of satellite navigation devices should enter the postal address (eg Kingston Lane) rather than the postcode to ensure you are directed to the main entrance of the University).

If you have been provided a permit to park, as you enter the campus, turn immediately left on to the South Loop Road. At the barrier please use the key pad, press CLEAR followed by the PIN number XXXXX (located on the reverse of the permit) and end the transaction by pressing ENT.

If you have not been issued with a permit, press the CALL button to contact Security for authority to enter campus.

Once through the barrier proceed to the car parks and park in the designated parking bays as indicated on your permit. If you have not been issued with a permit in advance follow the signs to Main Reception which is located in the Eastern Gateway Building . Please park in the 15-minute waiting area behind the Eastern Gateway Building  while you collect your parking permit.

Parking restrictions are operational between 8:00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. A parking permit is required for all vehicles during these hours and must be clearly displayed in the windscreen of your vehicle. A vehicle not displaying a valid parking permit is at risk of receiving a Parking Charge Notice.

If there are no permits available for the day, visitors should consider alternative transport options or, if you have to drive, please use the local public car parks in Uxbridge town centre.

Visitors out of hours

Parking restrictions are operational between 8:00 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Parking is not permitted in the disabled parking bays, double yellow lines, green reserved bays and hatched areas or in an area likely to cause an obstruction.

Visitors arriving out of hours may use the "Pay and Display" car parks free of charge.

Student parking

Non resident students and those that live outside a two-mile radius from Brunel may apply for an annual permit (chargeable) which grants access to student parking areas on campus. Enrolled students can apply for parking permits online via eVision.

Read specific information on student parking.

Parking for the disabled

Disabled parking bays are for those with a registered disability badge. This badge must be displayed together with a Brunel parking permit.

Delivery vehicles

For short delivery/drop off,  a vehicle permit is not required. Approach the campus via Kingston Lane and use the North or South Loop Road as appropriate. Press the CALL button at the barrier to talk to Security to gain access to the site. Your vehicle must not be parked or left unattended for more than 20 minutes otherwise you are at risk of receiving a Parking Charge Notice.

If you need to park on site or leave your vehicle for more than 20 minutes please collect a daily visitor parking permit for your vehicle from Main Reception, Eastern Gateway Building.

All delivery vehicles must be considerate of others and avoid causing an obstruction or blocking emergency routes.

Parking for coaches

Coach access/egress route: Upon arriving at the University all coaches must turn LEFT and drive around the perimeter road (South Loop Road) to the designated coach parking bays. These are located opposite the Heinz Wolff Building and are clearly marked. There are NO other parking bays for coaches.
