Former Brunel student Rosa Carbo-Mascarell has been named by Develop, a monthly magazine at the heart of the games industry, as part of their 30 Under 30 list. The list features 30 men and women who are under 30 and who Develop feel have made an impact on the games industry.

Twenty-four year old Rosa graduated from Brunel two years ago with an MA Digital Games Theory & Design. Trained as both an architect and a game designer, Rosa works at the Creative Industries Federation levelling up the games industry to high art - developing games and hosting events that bring the games industry and arts world closer together.

Rosa has been shortlisted for and won awards including the MYGEOSS Innovative App Award from the European Commission. She has also been selected as a rising star in the games industry in the BAFTA Guru scheme.

Lecturer in Games Studies & Design, Dr Kelly Boudreau, who taught Rosa said: "Rosa came to the MA programme eager to learn about the theory and design of digital games. She immersed herself in studying and making games, was a active part of her cohort, and became a regular part of the local games community. Since graduating, she has shared her experiences of the course with incoming students and her successes are an attestation to her curiosity, creativity, drive, and determination."
