From Brunel to Curtin University, Australia

I have just completed my exchange semester at Curtin University in Perth which turned out to be one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my life. Being based in Perth gave me the chance to experience things I never could have done in London. I visited many of Perth’s beautiful beaches and played competitive tennis across the city while representing Curtin University.

This was by far the greatest experience I have ever had in my lifetime. Not only did I get to experience my dream of studying in another country, but I also built friendships that will last far beyond my exchange. I now have a network of friends from all across the globe from Canada to Germany, Singapore, the United States and more! If any future students wish to connect before heading out to Curtin, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions they may have!

From Brunel to York University, Canada

My experience at York University was overall amazing. I was able to socialise and meet lots of people whom I can confidently call friends, I felt very welcomed by all communities and places I decided to join. I participated in sports, music, college events and university events. I was able to become more confident in myself and who I am, I was able to become more creative and put myself out there. There is always an opportunity to improve and learn when you are living abroad on your own.

From Brunel to EDHEC Business School, France

During the programme, I gained valuable insights into the history, craftsmanship, and marketing strategies behind some of the most iconic perfume and luxury brands. We visited renowned perfume houses, attended lectures by industry experts, and explored how French culture shapes the global perception of luxury. What stood out to me most was the deep connection between tradition and innovation in this field, as well as the importance of storytelling in building brand identity. This experience not only expanded my knowledge but also strengthened my interest in pursuing a career in luxury brand management. It was both an educational and inspiring journey that gave me a clearer sense of direction for my future.

Two weeks in Nice studying Luxury Hospitality and Ultra Luxury was honestly incredible. Our lecturers weren’t just experts, they were full of stories, energy, and real-life experience that made every class feel alive. We learned how luxury hotels go above and beyond for guests, what makes “ultra luxury” an entirely different world, and even got introduced to the art of wine, followed by a very prestigious wine tasting session during a company visit. We didn’t just stay in the classroom either. In Cannes, we went on a shopping expedition to see luxury hospitality in action. After studying yachts in lectures, we headed to Monaco to see them up close as well as a tour of the famous Monte Carlo Casino just steps away. But honestly, the best part was the people. You meet amazing friends from all over the world and make valuable connections that could open exciting doors in the future. You get to explore a new country, learn in the most hands-on way possible, and bring back not just knowledge, but memories you’ll keep forever.

From Brunel to Jeonbuk National University, South Korea

During my time at Jeonbuk National University, I felt truly welcomed and well cared for. The programme gave me the chance to learn deeply about Korean culture while also making lifelong friends from over 20 countries, including the USA, UAE, Malaysia, and many more. I never imagined I would be able to experience something like this, and I am incredibly grateful.

I feel a deep sense of gratitude for having taken part of the Feeling Korea Programme. It was a chance to not only explore South Korea but also meet incredible people across the world. I had the chance to experience Korean culture and begin learning the language too. It has a played an important part in my experience as a university student adding immense value to my degree in Psychology through seeing the cross cultural differences we have in the world.
