Arts and humanities

Arts and humanities at Brunel is about doing, not just discussing. Many modules include guest lectures and masterclasses with writers, game designers, filmmakers and other creative professionals. You can also take part in additional creative classes, from pottery and visual arts to instrumental lessons, and get involved in musical theatre productions.

Want to take things further? Study abroad students can join Studio Brunel, our student led production company staging plays and producing films. You could also work on the Hillingdon Herald - the only entirely student produced local newspaper in the UK - gaining hands on experience alongside Brunel students.

Social and political sciences

Our social and political sciences programmes connect theory with practice. You’ll take part in visits to NGOs and community organisations, including groups working on climate change related challenges. It’s a chance to see how academic thinking translates into real working environments – and to understand the impact social and political science can have beyond the university.
