Ealing Trailfinders are delighted to announce that Elliot Chilvers has signed a long-term deal with the first team, his first fully professional contract. The young loose-head prop has come through the Trailfinders Rugby Academy after originally joining on a Scholarship with Brunel University London.
The front-rower won the Coaches Player of the Season in the Academy last year after he played in 14 matches for Team Brunel during their promotion winning campaign. He originally joined from Samuel Whitbread Academy, and with his future now confirmed he will be competing with James Gibbons, Will Davis and Kyle Whyte for a place in the match day squad.
Chilvers is delighted to have secured his long-term future in West London.
“I’m very pleased to have signed at Ealing Trailfinders. It’s a club with massive ambition and it’s something I’m excited to be a part of.”
Director of Rugby Ben Ward says Chilvers is a real prospect for the future.
“Elliot is a young player who we believe will have a hugely successful career at the club. He has been training with us in the first team and we have been impressed with his attitude and progression.
He needs to keep improving but he is at a good place to do that and I expect him to be an important part of our future.”
