Oli Robinson and Ewan Fenley join Bedford on season-long loan deals

Scrum-half Ewan Fenley of Ealing Trailfinders on training

Ealing Trailfinders can today confirm that Ewan Fenley and Oli Robinson will both spend the 2020/21 Greene King IPA Championship season on loan at Bedford Blues.

The pair will both head to Goldington Road in search of regular game time and exposure to the Championship for the 10-match campaign.

Fenley made his debut for the Trailfinders in the pre-season victory over Bristol Bears ‘A’ and marked the occasion with a try. The Trailfinders Rugby Academy scrum-half was on loan with Henley Hawks last year, and was named in The Rugby Paper Dream Team.

Robinson has made four appearances for the Green and Whites after joining in the summer of 2019, and the back-rower will be looking to make a big impact with Bedford.

Director of Rugby Ben Ward is excited to see their progress with the Blues.

“Ewan and Oli are both very good players who need regular rugby. It is great that Bedford are able to provide this opportunity for them, and we will be watching them eagerly throughout the year.”
