Brunel emails

Postgraduate students, affiliates, and staff have access to their Brunel Office 365 emails from any device, using Office 365 webmail. On campus, they also have access to Outlook, with features like the calendaring and information sharing through Public Folders.

Undergraduates and alumni also have access to their Brunel Office 365 emails through Office 365 webmail, from any device.

How do I log on?

To log on to your Office 365 email account, go to Office 365 Webmail, and enter your Office 365 username and password.

If you are a student or PGR, your username will be [student_number]@brunel.ac.uk, e.g., 01234567@brunel.ac.uk. This will also be your Brunel email address. Your password is your Brunel Network account password.

If you are an alumnus, your username will be [student_number]@alumni.brunel.ac.uk, e.g., 01234567@alumni.brunel.ac.uk. This will also be your Brunel email address. Your password is your usual password.

What is my account username and password?

Your username will be your student number e.g. 0123456. Your password is your Brunel Network account password.

I've forgotten my password. How can I reset it?

If you are a student or PGR, you can reset your password via the Brunel Password Portal. Before you can reset your password, you need to register, by entering a series of security questions. If you have not registered for this service, it is important that you do so as soon as is possible. You can also contact computing-support@brunel.ac.uk, and they will assist you with your password reset.

If you are an alumnus, you can reset your password using the Micrsosoft Password Portal. You will need to enter your Office 365 username (e.g.,1234567@alumni.brunel.ac.uk) under User ID. You can also contact alumni-support@brunel.ac.uk, and they will assist you with your password reset.

How long do my deleted emails stay in my @my.brunel account?

If you delete an email from their Brunel Office 365 email account, it will stay in the Deleted Items folder for 30 days. After this time, the deleted items will be gone forever and there is no way to retrieve them.

If you want to remove messages from your Inbox without deleting them, move them to the Archive folder. This way, the message will be removed from view and it won’t clutter your Inbox, but you will still have access to it if you need it later.

Can I keep both my personal Gmail account and my Brunel Office 365 email account open in the same browser?
