Project details
1. DFlee – Agent-Based Modelling of Flood-Induced Displacement and Evacuation
DFlee is an agent-based simulation model developed to investigate population displacement and evacuation during natural disasters, particularly flooding. The research explores how environmental conditions, population characteristics and other contextual factors influence displacement and evacuation patterns. It combines computational modelling with high-performance computing and uncertainty quantification to improve the analysis of complex humanitarian scenarios.
2. ITFLOWS – IT Tools and Methods for Managing Migration Flows
An international research collaboration focused on developing computational tools and analytical approaches to improve understanding of migration flows and support evidence-informed decision-making.
3. HiDALGO – HPC and Big Data Technologies for Global Challenges
An international research project exploring the application of high-performance computing and big data technologies to complex global challenges through large-scale computational modelling and simulation.
4. SEAVEA – Software Environment for Actionable and VVUQ-Evaluated Applications
A research collaboration focused on improving the reliability, verification, validation and uncertainty quantification of computational models and simulation applications.
