Research area(s)

My research focuses on advancing circular economy approaches in the UK water sector, working closely with Anglian Water. I am applying the Complex Value Optimisation for Resource Recovery (CVORR) methodology to develop a practical decision-support tool for wastewater treatment systems. The CVORR framework integrates environmental, economic, technical, regulatory, and social dimensions to enable systems-based and context-sensitive decision-making.Through this research, I aim to design a Circularity Extended Input-Output (CEIO) tool that can help identify, quantify, and prioritise resource recovery opportunities across the water and wastewater value chain. The goal is to support more transparent, evidence-based strategies for improving circularity performance and sustainability in water utilities.
