Summary

Inés Buetow Peláez is a Doctoral Researcher investigating material reuse networks and the circular economy in the UK's audiovisual industry. 

Her research explores how waste streams stemming from the UK's audiovisual production sector are processed, and examines material reuse networks and their key drivers and barriers. The project also investigates how UK waste management policies shape the governance, incentives and legitimacy of these material reuse networks, and what forms of multidimensional value (environmental, economic, social, technical) are generated through material reuse initiatives in the UK's audiovisual sector.

The research aims to contribute to industry policy improvements, particularly organisational strategies and policy frameworks to help accelerate the transition toward a more sustainable circular economy.

Inés is a Grand Union Doctoral Partnership (GUDTP) scholar and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Grand Union Magazine.

She holds a BASc (Hons.) from University College London and an MPhil in Global and Area Studies from the University of Oxford.
