Research area(s)

My research explores how individuals, organisations, and educational systems can create the conditions for people to thrive. I have a particular interest in self-leadership, educational leadership, professional confidence, and workforce development across educational contexts.

Much of my work examines how confidence, agency, and identity influence professional practice, leadership development, and organisational culture. I am especially interested in how educators develop the capacity to lead themselves and others, and how this contributes to improved outcomes for learners, teams, and communities.

Alongside this, I investigate leadership and professionalism within the early years sector, including the impact of policy, organisational culture, and workforce development on educational quality. More recently, my research has expanded to explore curriculum innovation, responsible AI integration in education, and the role of self-leadership in preparing learners and educators for an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.
