Summary

Syed is an experienced educator and he has worked in higher education for 22 years. He is a senior lecturer at Brunel University. His professional experience includes as an academic lead, head of studies, programme director and a director of studies. He has worked at the major academic institutions such as Brunel University London, Middlesex University London, Glasgow Caledonian University London, University of Stirling London, The University of Law Business School, Greenwich School of Management London, Global University System London, Grenoble Ecole de Management and Em Normandy Oxford.

During his two-decade long career in higher education, Syed undertook a number of senior management roles including an Academic Lead, Head of Studies, Director of studies and Director programmes. He has been instrumental in leading learning and teaching enhancement and assessment standards providing leadership and support for programmes, teams and individuals for the enhancement of Learning and Teaching across different departments and business schools.

Syed is a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy and is member of the leading professional bodies such as Chartered Management Institute, Association of Masters of Business Administration, British Academy of Management, and Academy of Marketing. He has been instrumental in Strategy, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. An experienced head, director and an academic lead in higher education, Syed worked in positions of leadership, management and teaching. He cemented his reputation by developing, managing and leading a vast portfolio of business school programmes and collaborative partnerships locally and internationally.

Syed is currently serving as an external examiner to the BA Global Business Management programmes at Coventry University London.

Syed is a senior lecturer. He teaches on the Masters’ and undergraduate programmes and he supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate research students.
