Summary

I am a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Director of Postgraduate Taught Programs at the Brunel Business School. I believe in a hands-on and practical approach in entrepreneurship education. I implemented this in program delivery, and significantly developed students' entrepreneurial and innovation edge, also has been continuously turned out start-up companies successfully running in the real business market contributing to sustainability, innovation, and economic development. From September 2022, I have been leading postgraduate taught studies consisting of ten Masters' degree programs, a crucial part of the Brunel Business School and the University.

Before joing Brunel, I worked as a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management and International Business at the Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University. I gained my PhD in Management from Royal Holloway University of London with full scholarship, and MBA in International Business from University of Birmingham. Prio to my academic work in the UK, I had about ten years' work experience in multinational companies in China where I was in charge of international trade, and I pursued my initial career in nursing. 

I have received a series of awards and nominations in teaching, team leadership, and being innitiative at work. I have been recoganised as one of the Brunel Business School's top lecturers with feedback from students outlining my outstanding quality of delievery, 'Ken Darby-Dowman Memorial Prize' for my contribution to the student experience with a focus on the compassion, and an indidividual being purposeful and agile in a changing world. 

My research and teaching interests are in the areas of strategy, international business, and entrepreneurship. My publications have appeared at peer reviewed journals with international excellence such as International Business Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering ManagementStudies in Higher Education and so on.
