We are thrilled to announce that Professor Alexandra Xanthaki is part of a multi-university 3-year project funded by the European Commission. She told us "the support we got from the Global Lives Centre to organise a multi-disciplinary conference on migration back in 2016 was the precursor of our participation in this exciting H2020 project. The Centre has helped us also in other initiatives on migration to the degree that Brunel University London is now being recognised as an important hub for Migration and Asylum research."

Dr Meredith Jones, Director of Global Lives, said :"internal and targeted university support is crucial in the increasingly competitive paths that lead to external funding. This is a prime example of the way that a small project can develop to become part of something vast and potentially world-changing."

We extend our huge congratulations to Professor Xanthaki and look forward to learning much from her research.
