The Brunel Composite Centre won Innovation in Composite Materials at the Composites UK Industrial Awards event
Recently the team at the Brunel Composites Centre (BCC) Brunel University of London (Innovation centre at TWI), together with partners Graphene Innovations Manchester (GIM), First Graphene Limited (ASX: FGR) and Queen Mary University of London, attended the Composites UK Industrial Awards Dinner. Their project, HyPStore: Advancing low-carbon hydrogen production and safe storage for mobility, was nominated in three award categories, and won in the Innovation in Composite Materials category.
The HyPStore project is driving the development of mechanically robust, impermeable composite tanks that incorporate graphene and self-healing systems for liquid hydrogen storage, with built-in safety through a Leak-Before-Break architecture. This work supports the mobility sector’s transition to low-carbon technologies. Find out more by clicking the link below.
