Speak at our Materials for Hydrogen event
We warmly invite anyone working in materials characterisations and hydrogen (or related areas) to speak at our event. Be it giving a talk or taking part in a panel discussion, we welcome your expertise.
Our aim with this event is to educate professionals from adjacent sectors about hydrogen and relevant materials challenges. We are therefore seeking speakers who can inform our audience across various areas of the hydrogen sector, from academia to industry. Broadly we have divided the event into three areas of discussion:
- Challenges facing the hydrogen sector: This topic is all about what we need to consider in using hydrogen compared to other fuels. Such as discussions of hydrogen properties, the unique challenges of using it, methods of production, embrittlement, corrosion and trade-offs. Plus, policy, legislation and awareness at governmental and public levels.
- Current state of hydrogen and latest innovation: Where we are with the sector and where hydrogen is used right now. For instance, current hydrogen production, latest infrastructure projects, methods of storage and transport, temperature considerations, etc.
- The future of hydrogen: The part hydrogen will play in our greener tomorrow as we head towards net-zero. This could be areas such as fuel cells and electrolysers, advanced nanostructured materials, coatings and composites.
If you can talk about one of these topics we would be delighted to hear from you. Whether it is something that has been mentioned here already, or an area that you think needs to be covered at our event. The lists above are of course by no means exhaustive, we very much welcome your expertise! This is the purpose of the event after all.
