In addition to the events led by experts in our strategic challenge areas, colleagues across the university invite you to participate in a range of interesting workshops and talks designed to empower you in your research career and introduce you to opportunities for advancement available on our campus.  

Co-Innovate: Collaborate on your Business Challenge - PolyBook Ltd

This interactive session will discuss the mutual long-term benefits of collaborative innovation between industry and Brunel University London. You will hear from the Founder of PolyBook Ltd about the current research project with Brunel's academics and the role this plays in supporting innovation. We are delighted to be joined by Joseph White, CEO PolyBook Ltd, who will discuss their work and benefits from collaborating with BUL's academics and students through Co-Innovate's programme.

The session will last for one hour, including a Q&A session where you can explore how Co-Innovate project can support your business through the unique experience of having a collaboration with academics and students from a leading technology university renowned for its education and research.

Co-Innovate: Collaborate on your Business Challenge - Christian P. Kerrigan Architects 

This interactive session will discuss the mutual long-term benefits of collaborative innovation between industry and Brunel University London. You will hear from leading practice CK Architects about previous and current research with Brunel and the role this plays in supporting innovation.

We are delighted to be joined by Dr Richard Bonser and current Brunel Design School (#Madeinbrunel) final year students, Yasmine and Louie, who will discuss their work and benefits from collaboration with business.

Co-Innovate Conference - programme Launch Event and Q & A 

Building Resilience. Planning Recovery. Fostering Wellbeing  

Join the Co-Innovate team who will be launching an exciting and innovative programme of support for London based SMEs, entrepreneurs and start-ups which is jointly funded by Brunel University London and the European Regional Development Fund.   

The new programme - Journeys and Bridging the Gap – will explore 5 central themes:  

  • Beyond Brexit: Global Trade is Changing – The Big Picture 
  • Building a Culture of Resilience and Innovation: “Redefining a New Normal” 
  • West London Meets India: UK-India Relations (Design, Manufacturing & Engineering, Healthcare, Education) 
  • Tackling Climate Change: A New Beginning 
  • Financial Wellness in a Changing World

Learn more about what Open Research is, get tips to get started and see examples of Open Research at Brunel. Organised by Brunel's Open Research Working Group, with a special presentation from Professor Geoff Rodgers on the 'UK Open Research Agenda'.

Open Research progress in social sciences

A 'reproducibility crisis' in psychology has led to a range of Open Research initiatives intended to make research more transparent and replicable. This session will reflect on what these Open Research initiatives have been within psychology and social sciences, and how these may be applicable to other disciplines.

This interactive session will discuss the mutual long-term benefits of collaborative innovation between industry and Brunel University London. You will hear from the Founders of Black Dress Code and Marta Abello about previous and current research projects with Brunel's students and the role this plays in supporting their business innovation. We are delighted to be joined by Daniella Gluck Founder of Black Dress Code and Marta Abello, Founder of Marta Abello, who will discuss their work and benefits from collaborations.

Co-Innovate: Collaborate on your Business Challenge - Tala 

This interactive session will discuss the mutual long-term benefits from collaborative innovation between industry and Brunel University London. You will hear from leading design consultancy Tala about previous and current research with Brunel and the role this plays in supporting innovation.

The session will be led by Prof Robert Holdway, Co-Innovate Innovation Director, who will discuss Tala's work and benefits from collaboration.
