A placement is a great way to put your learning into practice, gain professional experience and explore potential career paths before you graduate.
At Brunel, you can shape your placement experience to suit your goals. If you choose a placement degree, you can complete either a year-long placement as part of a four-year degree, or two shorter three-month placements that you'll complete during the summer months of a three-year degree. The two-placement option gives you the chance to experience different organisations, sectors or career paths, helping you discover what interests you most. Alternatively, a year-long placement offers a deeper insight into a particular role or industry.
Whichever route you choose, you'll develop valuable workplace skills, build professional networks and strengthen your CV. Many students also return from placement with greater confidence and go on to perform even better in their final years of study.
