Top 5 finish for Brunel Racing's Formula Student Team

Brunel Racing's Formula Student Team finished in fifth place out of 72 teams at the first-ever virtual Formula Student competition #FS2020.

The team participated virtually in an adapted simulation, with team principal Alex Slimm and chassis manager Jake Haley giving an amazing performance in the BR-21 racing car, representing the team, the University and Brunel Racing sponsors, BP.

Brunel Racing wins IMechE

Brunel was awarded one of five £3,000 grants by IMechE to improve their car and chances of winning this year. Team Principal Jack Chamberlain outlines how: "the funding will be dedicated to developing the chassis for our latest vehicle – BR18. Some will go on the chassis, with tubes being CNC laser cut to the team's design and the rest to test how well it performs compared to computer modelling.
