Brunel is the ideal place to develop your particular interests in contemporary music-making with our fantastic music studios for you practise your skills in.
You will learn in an environment that has industry-standard, state-of-the-art music facilities that mirror the environment you’ll be stepping into and will help you gain the confidence and skills needed for your degree and after you graduate.
As a Music student you will benefit from having access to the Antonin Artaud Building where you can make use of the performing space in the studio and practice rooms and the editing suites in your free time. You’ll be supported by our friendly and supportive specialist technicians, ensuring you get the most out of the opportunities available to you.
Music students also have practice rooms with pianos that are available to them in the Gaskell Building.
You’ll also benefit from our small, friendly music department where you’ll be taught by lecturers who are not only leading figures in European contemporary music but are also very approachable. As a student you’ll able to collaborate musically with them outside of classes. You’ll find that the academics in the music department actively encourage you to explore new ideas and sounds and not go down the traditional route.
