Exploring London's Entrepreneurial Eco-system...

On Wednesday 11th March 2020, we once again travelled in an iconic red double decker bus visiting the best workplaces and innovation hubs that London has to offer! We heard from inspiring entrepreneurs and discovered London’s entrepreneurial eco-system all in one day! More Brunel University London students attended this event than ever before – we were able to take 36 students around London providing an unmissable opportunity to develop key entrepreneurial skills. Click here for read more.

Brunel's search for great business idea's... 

This year the Entrepreneur Hub selected 10 fantastic finalists out of a huge 99 applicants, to go through to the Venture Competition Pitching Finals.  The competition had 2 categories this year - a ‘Social Impact’ category alongside a ‘Commercial’ category, of which 3 of the finalists entered in the ‘Social Impact’ and 7 ‘Commercial’. London Venture Crawl 2019

A bigger and better London Venture Crawl...

On Wednesday 20th March, Brunel University London teamed up with Westminster University, travelling around London in the iconic red double decker bus discovering London's entrepreneur ecosystem alongside thirteen other London universities! Eight buses transported 300 students around London and Manchester routes designed to stimulate entrepreneurial skills, thinking and action. #VentureCrawl Click here to see more!

 

Venture Competition Finals 2019

Brunel's search for great business ideas ...

This year the Innovation Hub selected 9 finalists out of over 50 applicants to pitch their business idea in the Venture Competition Pitching Finals. On Wednesday 6th March 2019, 9 budding entrepreneurs pitched their innovative idea to a panel of experts competing to win a share of £10,000! After a 10 minute pitch and a 15 minute question and answer session, 3 finalists where chosen as the 2019 Venture Competition Winners. Perfect your Pitch Workshop 2019

Students learn how to 'Perfect their Pitch' ...

As part of the Venture Competition, the Innovation Hub offer a series of free workshops. In February 2019, competition finalists practiced to perfect their pitch with one of our pitching experts, Andrew Mossop in preparation for the Venture finals! This workshop was an open session for all Brunel students, staff and graduates to attend.

 

Brunel Entrepreneurs 2018

Four decades of alumni share their journeys to success ...

After the success of Brunel Entrepreneurs 2017, Brunel's entrepreneurial alumni were once again back to share their best advice and success stories. With alumni spanning from the 1980's to present, each unique inspirational journey provided invaluable insight into entrepreneurship providing students with key knowledge and understanding into how to launch their entrepreneurial career.   

 

London Venture Crawl 2018

Experiencing London's Entrepreneurial Eco-system...

On Wednesday 14 March 2018, 200 students from 9 London universities  travelled on 6 iconic Routemaster buses around some of London's top innovation hubs and workspaces to experience London's startup ecosystem and to meet top entrepreneurial leaders. The London Venture Crawl aims to introduce students to entrepreneurship, to enhance career opportunities, to foster and instil entrepreneurial attributes. #LondonVentureCrawl

 

Speed Meet Networking Event 2018

Students network their way to find a business partner ...

The Innovation Hub created an opportunity for students with a variety of entrepreneurial skills, backgrounds and interests, to network with one another with a potential to form teams to enhance their business. These newly formed teams were encouraged to enter their business idea into the 2018 team Venture competition category for a chance to win a share of £10,000.

 

Brunel Entrepreneurs 2017

Highlighting Brunel's Entrepreneurial Talent ...

The Innovation Hub invited back top Brunel alumni to share their inspirational journeys to success and top tips on how to start up a business. With the line up including a Dragons Den contestant, a BBC One's Apprentice finalist and Lord Bilamoria, Founder of Cobra Beer, this free event helped students increase their entrepreneurial potential alongside providing an opportunity to network.
