Teaching

My teaching background spans undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. At West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, I was Undergraduate Tutor overseeing UCL medical student attachments (2015–2020) and, as Associate Medical Director for Education and Training/Director of Medical Education (2020–2026), had oversight of all undergraduate and postgraduate training in the Trust. Earlier in my career I held a Clinical Academic Training Fellow post at UCL (2003–2005), teaching and assessing Year 5 MBBS students in child health. I held an academic appointments as Honorary Clinical Associate Professor (Teaching) at UCL Medical School from 2022 to 2026 and am an Adjunct Associate Professor in Paediatrics at St George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada. I have received multiple Top Teacher awards and an Excellence in Medical Education Award from UCL Medical School.

My teaching always aims to constructively align, inform and even entertain.
