Dr Ines Castro
Lecturer in Genomics

Research area(s)

The Castro Lab focuses on the understanding of the nuclear periphery environment, from Lamins to Nuclear Pore Complexes (NPCs). She aims to focus on the two distinct types of chromatin found adjacent to Lamins and NPCs, repressed and active, correspondently, and how components of the periphery have a role in the organisation of the nuclear envelope and genome function.

The Castro Lab is currently funded by the Royal Society and Academy of Medical Sciences.
