Research Interests
My research interests are grouped into three interconnected areas:
-
Management and Psychological Theories in Working Life
I draw on both management and organisational psychology theories to understand how work environments shape employee experiences, behaviour, and wellbeing. -
Mindfulness-Based Interventions and Workplace Development
A key strand of my work focuses on the design and evaluation of mindfulness-based interventions and training programmes. These initiatives aim to enhance employee health, leadership effectiveness, and compassionate organisational cultures. -
Chronic Health, Women’s Well-being, and Inclusive Workplace Policy
My research also explores physical and mental health challenges in the workplace, with a particular focus on chronic conditions such as endometriosis. Through this work, I aim to advance awareness and support the development of inclusive policies and practices for women’s health at work.
Research grants and projects
Grants
Funder: Brunel Research Initiative and Enterprise Fund
Duration: December 2025 - July 2026
This project aims to move the field of endometriosis and work from awareness to action by building an integrated, policy relevant evidence base. It seeks to identify how workplace practices, managerial responses, and organisational policies shape employment outcomes for people with endometriosis, and where intervention is most needed. By clarifying what should be measured, how outcomes are produced, and what evidence can inform effective workplace support, the project lays the foundations for meaningful organisational and policy change.
Funder: BBS Dean's Pump-priming Fund
Duration: May 2024 - July 2024
The project aims to explore the complexities and challenges of endometriosis, particularly its under-studied impact on women's professional lives and overall well-being. The study also strives to evaluate employers' awareness of endometriosis and to identify any negligence or bias, advocating for a more inclusive approach.
