Careers and your future in Public Health and Health Promotion

Your Public Health and Health Promotion degree gives you the practical and critical skills to pursue a career within organisations tasked with improving the health and wellbeing of society.

Your course will prepare you for a range of careers in public health and health promotion; health and social care; voluntary and government sector; and non-governmental organisations.

The types of careers our graduates typically go into include organisational, community, partnership or strategy development, health information strategy and project management. These careers give you the opportunity to develop strategic approaches towards improving health promotion in areas such as our communities, schools, businesses and hospitals.

You’ll gain connections within the sector before you even graduate. Public Health and Health Promotion at Brunel has strong links with key local and international health promotion and public health providers and specialists, helping you to develop professional networks while you’re studying.

You’ll interact with potential employers from organisations such as Public Health England, the Department for International Development, the NHS and various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) at our annual employability event.
