Specialist equipment and facilities

The equipment available to our PhD students includes test machines for mechanical characterisation of materials, drop hammers, Hopkinson bars, X ray computed tomography, DIC. This is alongside computational facilities and CAD/CEA software (e.g. NSIRC cluster, CATIA, ABAQUS, LS-DAYNA, ANSYS, Mathcad, Mathematica,…)
