Applying for sponsorship (or a financial guarantee)
For a lot of our courses this will not be a problem, and so long as you provide evidence of your confirmed sponsorship with enough time for us to prepare any Confirmation of Acceptance of Study (CAS) you might need we will be able to confirm your place on the course.
However, there are some courses (see above) which may be oversubscribed, and unfortunately we cannot guarantee we can hold a place for you while you wait to provide evidence of your sponsorship. Nonetheless, we will try to help you if we can.
As such, all applicants who are applying for sponsorship should let us know by completing this form to tell us more information about the sponsorship you are applying for.
Once you have completed the form we will keep a record of your sponsorship and will if we can reserve places for you. Again, we cannot guarantee we can do this so to avoid any disappointment you may want to consider paying a deposit instead.
Applying for a scholarship
If you have applied for an external scholarship and are waiting for a decision it is unlikely you will be notified on the outcome of your scholarship applications by our deadline to pay a deposit. Although most external scholarships are not confirmed until the summer, Brunel supports these scholarship schemes and we aim to honour the places of all students who are fully awarded the scholarship. If your chosen course is likely to fill up early we do recommend you consider your options fully and make a deposit payment in order to secure your place. It is important to note that if you are later awarded a full scholarship the deposit payment will be refunded. However, if this is not feasible you should wait till you get the outcome of your scholarship application but please keep in mind that if you are not awarded the scholarship there may not be any places left on the course.
If you need more information about this, please contact the Scholarships Team on Scholarships@brunel.ac.uk who can advise you further.
