Our undergraduate courses come with the option for one-year work placement. This is an invaluable opportunity to build your confidence in a variety of work settings and see which future career is right for you. We’ll support and encourage you every step of the way whether you want to gain publishing experience or see what life as a copywriter in a busy marketing department is like.
Your CV is one of the most important pieces of writing you’ll ever do and our expertise can help make you stand out. You’ll be supported by your personal tutor and our Professional Development Centre before, during and after identifying what type of placement opportunities you are looking to pursue.
If you feel a placement isn’t quite right for you, there are many more ways you can build your work experience while you study. We’ll support you to get summer internships to boost your industry experience over a shorter space of time or you can work across the number of roles on at Creative Writing events like the Hillingdon Literary festival or Brunel Writers series. There is even the chance to become a paid creative writing student ambassador – all great ways to top up your CV experience.
