What you'll learn

You’ll explore how everyday activities impact health and wellbeing, and learn to prescribe specialist equipment or medical solutions to support recovery and independence. The curriculum covers:

  • modern occupational therapy practices.

You’ll develop critical thinking, discussion, and engagement skills that prepare you for real-world clinical challenges.

Hands-on experience

Our approach combines theory with practice. You’ll work with real patients and peers to apply your learning in authentic settings, gaining confidence and competence in professional practice. Practice placements form a core part of your degree, with 28 weeks (over 1,000 hours) of experience in settings such as:

  • NHS services
  • local government
  • charities
  • private healthcare providers.

These placements are based in and around London, offering exposure to a diverse patient population and a wide range of therapeutic environments.
