Partnerships
We are committed to developing strategic and values-led partnerships that connect academic research with industry, culture and public life.
We work collaboratively with funders, creative industries, cultural organisations and academic partners to support high-quality, impactful research that advances understanding of comedy as a cultural, social, and political form and as a significant sector of the creative industries.
What a partnership can look like
Our partnerships take many forms, including:
- Development of large-scale funded research projects
- AHRC- and UKRI-funded collaborations and Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) activity
- Knowledge exchange and impact partnerships
- Research-informed evaluation and sector insight
- Public engagement, festivals, exhibitions, and events
- Staff exchanges and visiting researcher arrangements
We are particularly interested in partnerships that value dialogue between academia and industry, and that recognise comedy as both a creative practice and a serious object of research.
Our approach
CCSR works in a way that is:
- Collaborative
- Understands industry realities and cultural contexts
- Grounded in critical research that is accessible to a wide range of audiences
- Champions co-produced methods and shared expertise
We prioritise collaboration, experimentation and exchange in our methods and approaches.
