Make a positive impact with specialist community public health nursing

Studying specialist community public health nursing at Brunel develops your career as an innovative practitioner in the promotion of health, and the prevention of ill health, for individuals, groups and communities. We offer three pathways for those with initial nurse or midwife registration who wish to become specialist community public health nurses: Health Visiting, Occupational Health Nursing or School Nursing. You’ll gain specialist skills that will make you a progressive and creative professional in the promotion of public health and well-being. You’ll be allocated a qualified and experienced practice teacher who will support you in reaching your targets on this programme.

I am on the Occupational Health Nursing pathway which allows me to build on the skills and experience I already have by learning new theoretical knowledge. This is helping me develop a broader skills set to help me become an effective practitioner which will also open the door to many new opportunities in the future.
