Careers and your future in Biomedical Sciences

Whatever your future goals are, your biomedical sciences course is focused towards helping you achieve your career ambitions.

Whether you want to work as a Cancer Research Scientist, a Forensic Scientist or a Science Journalist – the employability modules at Brunel provide a personalised approach towards developing your skills. You’ll work on improving your CV and your interview techniques, as well as attending careers events and carrying out research jobs with academics.

Each year, we hold a Biomedical Sciences Careers Fair where you’ll have the opportunity to network with some of the biggest names in the business such as GlaxoSmithKline, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Paraxel, Age UK and Royal Brompton Hospital NHS Foundation.

You’ll graduate with a degree accredited by the Royal Society of Biology. This means that you’ll be fully prepared for the working world and, through the accreditation, your prospective employers will know this too.

With 95% of our graduates in work or further study six months after the course (DHLE 2015/16), you can be sure to graduate with a range of career opportunities available to you either within the field or science or through using your transferrable skills.

Take your first steps towards an exciting Biomedical Sciences career
