I have an offer, what should I do next?

All offers letters are issued via email. It is important that you carefully read through this letter. In order to confirm your place on the course, you will need to do the following:

  1. Provide an up-to-date copy of your passport (you must have a least 6 months left before expiry)
  2. Pay the £1,000 English Language Tuition deposit or provide an official sponsorship letter/financial guarantee (for detailed guidance please see the Finance tab)

For students who require a Student Visa, a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) will be issued once the above criteria have been met. For further information please read the following document:

Joint CAS criteria advice sheet

For detailed visa advice please visit the Immigration Team website.

How do I pay my deposit or tuition fees?

In order to secure an unconditional English Language offer, students must provide a £1,000 tuition fee deposit.

We strongly recommend that students make any necessary payments online.

If you are unable to pay online, we will accept the following alternative payment methods:

  • Sponsorship Letter/Financial Guarantee - please send all relevant documents to stufin@brunel.ac.uk
  • Bank Transfer - you can send any payments to the account details below. Please note you will need to allow 3-5 working days for your payment to be cleared into the Brunel University account. We have to wait until payment is cleared before we can issue your CAS number; so please make the payment in plenty of time to apply for your visa.

(Please note that while we try to ensure that all our Brunel Language Centre students are given a room on campus, we cannot guarantee campus accommodation will be allocated to you).

What types of rooms are available on campus?

What if I prefer to live off campus?

If you prefer to live off campus, there are a number of options available. There is a wide selection of housing close to Brunel that is reasonably priced for the London area. This may suit you particularly if you are planning to bring your family while you study at Brunel, (we do not provide family accommodation on-campus) or if you prefer to live together with your friends.

What do I do when I arrive at the airport?

Firstly, find baggage collection. Once you have collected your luggage and been through Immigration control, walk into the Arrivals hall and find a phone box. These are public phones and should be easy to find as you walk into Arrivals. If you can’t find one, ask a member of staff or go to the Information Desk.

Call London Heathrow Cars, by dialing UK free phone number 0800 505 3231 (or if you call from your mobile, dial 0208 814 2727) and mention your name. Around 10 minutes later your driver will meet you inside the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name.

How do I find my driver?

Once you have called, make your way to meet your driver at the meeting point in Arrivals. The driver will meet you here and will be holding a sign with your name on.

Meeting point for each terminal:
Terminal 1: Costa Coffee
Terminal 2: W H Smith
Terminal 3: Tourist services desk
Terminal 4: Costa Coffee
Terminal 5: Costa Coffee

What if my flight is delayed?

Your driver will know about any flight delays. Just make sure you call your driver when you come out of arrivals, and a car will be with you in around 10 minutes.

Where will I be dropped off at Brunel?

If you are arriving at campus between 9am - 4.55pm, you will be taken directly to your campus accommodation. You will need to collect your keys from the halls of residence reception.

If you are arriving at campus between 5pm and 9am, you should remind your driver to drop you at the Security Office, where your keys will be located. If you would like the driver to wait for you while you collect your keys and then drive you to your accommodation, this may incur an extra charge (payable in cash to the driver).

Make sure you contact the Accommodation Office (accom-uxb@brunel.ac.uk) before you depart, providing an estimated arrival time, so they know where you will be collecting your keys.
