Mission and objectives
The institutions that constitute ResearchPlus believe that excellence in research, innovation, and research-informed education are inseparable. Together, we are working to strengthen the UK’s research and innovation system, to help deliver opportunity and progress across the whole of society. Our aims are to:
- Advance economic growth, prosperity, and societal well-being across the UK and beyond through cutting-edge research and innovation.
- Champion research-informed education and advanced skills, ensuring students benefit from and contribute to world-class research environments.
- Forge strategic partnerships with government, business, and civic society, complementing, not competing with, existing sector organisations.
- Contribute to delivering the UK’s Industrial Strategy across all eight high-growth sectors, maintaining strong ties with communities and industries.
ResearchPlus universities were founded through successive government and industry initiatives aimed at driving growth, expanding opportunity, and advancing technology and public services.
