Students with BTEC qualifications

We welcome students applying to Brunel with a BTEC qualification. Many of our students join us with either a BTEC or a combination of BTEC and A-level qualifications. We've answered some of the most common questions you might have below.

What do you mean by a BTEC “in a related subject” in your entry requirements?

We accept a huge range of BTEC subjects onto our courses, so sometimes it is difficult to list exactly what we accept for each programme. If you are not sure if your BTEC is relevant to the course you are applying for, please contact us on admissions@brunel.ac.uk or call us on +44 (0)1895 265265. You can also chat with us from Monday-Friday 9am-4pm (UK time) on our 'How to apply to Brunel' page (there is a green pop-up chatbox in the right top corner).

Support while you're here

When you arrive, you will be assigned a tutor or supervisor, who will be your main contact for academic support. If you need any individual, personal or welfare support then our Student Support and Welfare Team are on hand to provide a wide range of support.

What do I need to do when I receive my BTEC results?

If you’ve already applied to Brunel through UCAS and hold a conditional offer from us, we will receive your BTEC results automatically from UCAS. When we receive the batches of results, we will work through them as quickly as possible to provide a final decision on your application. We would also recommend that you upload a copy of your BTEC certificates and transcripts to your My Application portal.
