Undergraduate courses

Our undergraduate courses combine theory with practice and from the second year onwards, the extent to which you favour one over the other is up to you.

You can choose between our Film Production or Film & TV Studies single honours degree pathway or opt for one of our joint honours degrees in Film Production & Theatre or Film & TV Studies & English.

Central to our educational mission is a commitment to ensuring that all our graduates are ready for a career in the creative sector. The theme of employability is embedded in every level of our programmes and, from the moment that you join us, you will be required to think about how to construct a professional identity, how to make sense of employment practices in the film and television industries, and how to build a CV that will set you apart in a highly competitive job market. We’re also here to help you negotiate the challenges of developing a distinctive creative voice in the era of AI.

We were the first UK university to achieve a BAFTA albert accreditation.

Among London universities, we’re ranked 1st for organisation and management and in the top five for learning resources, assessment and feedback, academic support, and student voice (National Student Survey 2025).

You’ll be taught by lecturers who are passionate about their subject and who have published extensively in their field
