Overview
Healthcare systems worldwide face unprecedented challenges - ageing populations, rising costs, workforce shortages, digital transformation, and widening health inequalities. The MSc Global Healthcare Management at Brunel equips you to lead in this rapidly evolving sector, whether your ambition is to manage healthcare organisations, shape health policy, or drive innovation in health services.
You will explore how healthcare systems are governed, funded, and reformed across different national contexts; how to lead and manage change in complex health organisations; and how to evaluate health policies and economic interventions using rigorous analytical frameworks. The programme develops your ability to think strategically about global health challenges - from pandemic preparedness and digital health adoption to health equity and sustainable financing.
A distinctive feature of this MSc is its practice-led approach. You will engage with live consultancy projects and real-world case studies from NHS trusts and global health organisations, learn from guest speakers in healthcare leadership and policy, and complete an applied dissertation that addresses a genuine healthcare challenge - often in partnership with organisations such as the NHS and the British Red Cross.
The programme is taught by an academic team with deep expertise across health economics, healthcare management, health policy, and organisational behaviour - including researchers who have worked in central government, the NHS, and local government. Brunel Business School holds AACSB and AMBA accreditation, and the programme is available with both September and January intakes.
You will study alongside a diverse international cohort. Brunel is top 10 in the UK for diversity, and our single-site campus in Uxbridge places you near Heathrow - a global gateway - with central London accessible in 45 minutes, giving you access to major health policy institutions, NHS leadership hubs, and global health consultancies throughout your studies.
