Multiscale Simulation of Fluid Dynamics

A project at the interface between Physics and Engineering, molecular simulation has the potential to provide new insights into the field of fluids dynamics, a vital and very active research area essential to Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Linking fluid flow to statistical mechanics provides a new a unique perspective on many unsolved problems including turbulence, bubble dynamics, shockwaves and visco-elastic flows. An ideal candidate would be an theoretically interested engineer or a physicist wanting to move to a more applied but still theoretical subject.
