Berkeley University Professor and founder of the Berkeley Research Group, David Teece, visited the Business School on the 9th June to work on joint papers with the Head of School Professor Pitelis and to explore opportunities for research and project collaboration with other members of the School: Professor Afshin Mansouri and Dr Sergio de Cesare.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) Bill Leahy (pictured left) welcomed Professor Teece and discussed mutual academically-related interests. The two found it fascinating that however apparently diverse research areas may seem, the opportunities and challenges of all matters scholarly are also quite similar in very many ways.

Professor Teece promised to visit again and to give a presentation on the issue of Dynamic Capabilities, the theoretical framework that he founded and which right now leads scholarly research in Business Strategy. Professor Teece's next visit was Bocconi University which had organised a conference and dinner in his honour.
