  • Discounts on further study at Brunel
  • Access to facilities on campus
  • An annual magazine and quarterly E-Newsletters.

Your benefits do not stop there. View all of the benefits available below:

Brunel graduate discount

If you graduated from Brunel and register for a postgraduate course or research programme on a self-funding basis, you will be eligible for a 15% discount on tuition fees. What’s more, if you graduated with a First Class Honours degree and register on a postgraduate taught course on a self-funding basis, you can get a further 15% discount. For more information, head over to our Fees and Funding pages.

Alumni card

Your alumni card will allow you access to the benefits on campus listed below. Cards are FREE for all alumni of Brunel University London.

Simply email your name, your current postal address, year of graduation, your subject of study (and your student ID number if you still have it to hand) to the Alumni Team and we will post one out to you.

Alternatively, call into the office (Halsbury Building, room 210) Monday - Friday, 10.00am - 4.00pm and collect it in person.

Library access

Brunel alumni are very welcome to use the library on campus. You will need an alumni card to enter and can use the space for personal study - you are also eligible for free reference membership, which provides you with access during core hours. To use the Library in this way, the staff will need to verify your alumni status and will ask you to sign in at the Welcome Desk when you arrive and present your alumni card. Please also bring a form of photo ID (such as a driver’s licence) with you on the day.

If you would like to borrow items, Alumni borrowing membership costs £20 per year, a saving of £60 on the standard charge, enabling you to borrow up to 6 long loan items at any time.

Restricted loans are reserved for students only, due to the high demand for these items. If you are looking to access a specific book, we recommend that you look online at the Library Catalogue before visiting the Library. If the book is listed as an ‘overnight loan’, ‘three day loan’, or ‘one week loan,’ unfortunately you will not be able to borrow it.

Regrettably, there are no computing facilities available for alumni on campus due to licensing restrictions that apply to all UK universities, so you will not be able to access journals and electronic resources during your visit.

For more information about visiting the Library, please head over to their Visitors and Alumni section on the website. Alternatively, you can contact the Library on +44 (0)1895 266141, library@brunel.ac.uk or tweet @brunel_library if you have any questions or special requirements.

Access to the university archives

Our university archives house documents and artefacts which provide evidence of the rich history of Brunel University, West London Institute of Higher Education, Maria Grey College, Shoreditch College and Borough Road College. If you are conducting research into these institutions or tracing your family history, please email the Alumni Team and we will help arrange access for you.

Loco's Bar and The Academy

As an Associate Member of UBS, you can still use the campus bar, Loco’s and purchase tickets for events at The Academy. You will need to bring photo ID and your Alumni Card to gain entry. Unfortunately, you will not be able to sign in guests.

You'll have access to graduate vacancies from around 4,000 employers and practical support throughout the job hunting process as well as continued access to the daily 15 minute Quick Query appointments or longer one-to-one guidance appointments with your specialist Careers Consultant. Don't worry if you live some way from campus as you can opt to interact with Careers Consultants by Skype, 'phone, email and, of course, face-to-face.

Interested in careers activities on campus? Good news - you'll still have access to our range of Graduate events including the 'Uncovered' industry insight sessions, recruitment fairs, employer pop-up stands and workshops on job-finding strategies.

Graduated more than three years ago? You're still very welcome to use the information on our Professional Development Centre website and to access the vacancies.
